Goma is a chemically treated special starch-based product designed for corrugated cardboard producers.

AREA OF APPLICATION

This is a good quality glue preferred for use in the corrugated cardboard industry.

USAGE

Goma is prepared using tap water, thanks to its solubility in even cold water. Does not require any heating. Very easy to prepare because it does nor require any additional chemicals.

EXAMPLE

Water 1600 lt.
Goma 400 kg.

MIXING PROCEDURE

Set the mixer to a high rotation speed, preferably 2800 rpm. In lower speeds up to 900 rpm the mixing time should be extended. After adding the necessary amount of water in the mixer and turning it on, empty the GOMA bags in the mixer. To ensure ideal homogeneity, empty the bags quickly so as to avoid allowing high viscosity to occur.

Although the ideal mixing process varies depending on the mixer type and the enterprise itself, it should take approximately 30 minutes. If there is any glue remaining in the mixer over the holidays or the weekends for 2-3 days, it should be mixed for a few minutes before using. The dry material in the mixture should be about 18-22 %.

PACKAGING

Goma is sold in double-layer plastic bags of 40 kg. It is recommended that the bags are stored under normal conditions, in dry places not exposed to sunlight.

SAFETY

To avoid any spilling or splashing from the mixer, it is recommended to install filters in the pumps, and to periodically clean the pans.
